We help leaders understand and shape human systems.

Operators, analysts and engineers reading how people group, align and act, so decisions are made with clarity instead of assumption.

Who we are
The firm

Who we are.

LFA was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York, with an office in Washington, D.C. We have operated in more than forty countries across six regions, working on issues that determine whether a state is secure, sovereign, and economically resilient.

What we read

Where conventional firms describe events, we explain why they happen and what to do about them. We read the principals operating under specific world views, the coalitions forming and dissolving, and the informal channels that determine which directives are executed and which are quietly absorbed.

What it delivers

By reading the human dynamics behind reported events, we restore clarity and help decision-makers anticipate threats, protect assets, build economic resilience, and safeguard sovereignty.

Every sovereign decision is ultimately a human decision.

The LFA premise

Purpose

Our vision

We envision a world where global cooperation creates human prosperity.

Cooperation is not a sentiment. It is an outcome of readable incentives, credible commitments and actors who understand each other.

Our mission

To help leaders understand and shape human systems for collective progress.

We put the reading of people, alignments and informal power in the hands of the person who has to decide.

Values

The values that shape our every decision.

Discovery

We look for what others overlook: informal power, quiet alignments and early movement.

Excellence

Every assessment is held to an evidentiary standard our clients can act on.

Impact

We measure our work by the decisions it improves, not the pages it produces.

Trust

Discretion is structural. Client sovereignty is never negotiable.

We report what the evidence supports, including when it is inconvenient.

Core infrastructure

Our AI Model

Our proprietary AI tool is the core of what we offer. It runs in two modes.

01

Internal advisory

Internally, the platform powers our advisory service across every capability, giving our analysts deeper signal reading and faster synthesis.

LFA managed
02

Build-Operate-Transfer

Externally, we build the platform to order for each client to operate alongside their institutions, then transfer full control and sovereignty to the client government.

Transfer takes place under U.S. export authorization. LFA remains available for servicing and updates.

Client sovereignty

Where controlled technology is transferred, LFA operates under the applicable U.S. export authorizations for each engagement.

Analytical intelligence
Principles in practice

Our AI platform continuously gathers and analyzes large volumes of publicly available data from diverse open sources to identify patterns, relationships, and potential threats that would be difficult for humans to detect manually. We only gather lawfully available information, and we do not conduct any collection of private data, personal surveillance, or unauthorized access.

Our assessments are never shaped by commercial interest or political preference. We report what the evidence supports, including when it is inconvenient.

Clients retain full ownership and control of their data, findings, and deliverables. Nothing is repurposed, resold, or shared.

Every engagement is screened against applicable export control, sanctions, and licensing requirements before work begins.

Our models support human judgment rather than replacing it. Outputs remain traceable to sources and reviewable by analysts.

We operate under a documented code of conduct covering discretion, conflicts of interest, and the treatment of sensitive information.
